Key Responsibilities
As an Experienced Residential Designer, you will:
- Design and develop custom residential home plans that meet client needs and adhere to energy-efficient standards.
- Produce accurate, detailed working drawings, floor plans, and elevations.
- Create 3D renderings and visual presentations to communicate designs effectively to clients.
- Continuously refine design concepts by incorporating sustainable building techniques, materials, and innovative solutions.
- Conduct site visits to evaluate design feasibility, recommending modifications as needed.
- Collaborate with project managers, builders, and subcontractors to ensure that design intent is maintained throughout the construction process.
- Research and implement new software tools and design trends to enhance workflow efficiency and creativity.
- Guide clients through the design selection process, offering expert recommendations on materials, finishes, and layouts.
- Work closely with the sales team to develop customized solutions and design amendments based on client feedback.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and construction regulations to ensure compliance.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant degree in Architecture, CAD, Construction Management, or a similar field.
- A minimum of 2 years of CAD experience.
- Proficiency in software such as Softplan (or similar), MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- A strong understanding of design and construction, with an emphasis on sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Experience in the architecture, construction, or solar industries is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide high-quality customer service.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized and meeting deadlines.
- Availability to occasionally work weekends when necessary.
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive base salary ($50,000 - $75,000 per year)
