Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3:45 PM to 5:30 PM Amount of Travel: Required for away games
POSITION SUMMARY
The Head Badminton Coach position involves leading the team's day-to-day operations while fostering athletic development, ensuring adherence to league regulations, and creating an engaging and supportive environment for student-athletes. This role runs from March 1, 2025, through May 25, 2025.
Responsibilities:
- Practice and Game Management:
- Attend all practices and games.
- Develop and execute effective practice plans.
- Teach fundamental badminton techniques and skills.
- Training and Conditioning:
- Assist players in training and conditioning for optimal performance.
- Provide constructive feedback to enhance individual and team performance.
- Mentorship and Development:
- Mentor and guide athletes to develop their skills and sportsmanship.
- Foster a positive team culture that promotes growth and discipline.
- Administrative Duties:
- Record statistics during games and maintain accurate records.
- Manage the inventory of all badminton equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all NYSAIS rules and regulations.
- Transportation:
- Drive the team to away games as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching badminton or a related sport.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive athletic environment.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Familiarity with NYSAIS rules and regulations is preferred.
