Camp FABLE Overnight Counselor aka Hero Leader
Our counselors are known as hero leaders at our eduLARP summer camps: Camp Fable and Camp Grimoire. Your quest is to provide a safe and memorable experience for our heroes. Hero Leaders will be responsible for an assigned adventuring party of 10 campers. Duties include cabin monitoring, supporting at meals, guiding campers during the daily roleplaying sessions, playing camp characters in costume, and facilitating and participating in group activities. Hero leaders have a genuine passion for mentoring and empowering young people. Help our heroes navigate the world of Bookend, teach them what it means to be a hero, and help create a summer of lasting memories.
Our camp programs are imaginative, immersive, and inclusive. We are proud to be queer-led and serve a large population of queer, neurodiverse, and nerdy campers of all backgrounds. Spend your day adventuring with the heroes and your evening helping these amazing humans create bonds that will last a lifetime.
We are hiring general camp counselors and specialty curriculum counselors. The overnight counselor will serve as a full counselor and attend to responsibilities specific to the educational programming and curriculum. Overnight counselors report to program director and camp directors. This position is not a member of the leadership team. Curriculum counselors help design story-based STEM modules supporting our program staff. Examples have included building dams to summon the Lady of The Lake, designing trebuchets to fight cyclopses, and creating math puzzles to unlock hidden rooms. Curriculum counselors report to program director and camp directors.
For both positions, training starts on June 18th and camp runs until August 16th.
Salary : $430 - $450
