POSITION SUMMARY
Groundskeepers are responsible for the daily maintenance of Stratton’s 27 hole Golf Course and for providing the best possible playing conditions for our guests. Starting wage for this role is $20.00/hour.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist in the readiness of grounds for closing of the golf season
- Daily course set up
- Bunker maintenance
- May operate turf machinery (greens, tee, fairway, and rough mowers)
- Digging (shovel & machine)
- Line trimming
- Other duties as assigned by Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
Experience: Previous related experience, preferred
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to operate machinery used for grounds maintenance
- Ability to work in all weather conditions (rain, extreme heat, cold, insects, etc.)
- Basic understanding of golf
- Flexible hours to include early mornings and some weekend hours
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
