Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed sales targets established in the company’s quarterly and annual objectives.
- Lead, coach, and expand the sales team, including recruiting, hiring, and training new staff in collaboration with the HR department.
- Monitor the performance of the sales team by establishing a system of reports and communications involving sales reports, cyclical sales meetings, and updates.
- Analyze market trends and sales performance data to continuously improve the effectiveness of sales strategies.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure a consistent company brand and messaging across all sales materials and campaigns.
- Work closely with the product development team to understand and communicate customer feedback and to help tailor new products to the market demands.
- Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and potential business partners and to develop key relationships.
- Maintain a deep understanding of company products and processes to ensure all sales team capabilities are built and performance uncertainties minimized.
- Act as a role model and representative of the corporate values and culture in every interaction with teammates, customers, and partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of related experience in sales within a high-tech industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales quotas and business goals.
- Extensive experience in developing strategic sales plans that reflect the company’s goals.
- Comprehensive understanding of CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
- Strong analytical skills to identify trends and challenges.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to inspire and lead teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
