Summary :
Lead, support, and assist technicians in avionics installations.
Fabricate wire harnesses, install, terminate, troubleshoot, and assist in functional testing of avionics / electrical systems.
Provide work direction to technicians, ensuring tasks are completed on time.
Coordinate with other departments for on-time aircraft delivery.
Install, modify, and fabricate wiring, electrical components, and fixtures per blueprints, worksheets, and engineering drawings.
Train team members, contributing to their development through expertise and innovative techniques.
Assist Engineering in problem resolution and perform repairs as directed.
Maintain accurate logs and records.
Ensure all work meets regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
Enforce company policies, including FOD control, tool control, 5S, and safety regulations.
Inspect all work, including that of other team members, to ensure defect-free assembly before final inspection.
Properly maintain shop equipment and tools as assigned by the Supervisor.
Coordinate shift changes in the absence of the team leader.
Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g., YIAW, Kaizen events).
Assist and fill in for the team coordinator as needed.
Required Skills :
High School Diploma or GED.
Two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics plus two (2) years of related work experience, OR four (4) years in an avionics / electronics role.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.
Working knowledge of Policies and Procedures, Inspection Procedures, and Process Specifications.
Ability to transition to new tasks with minimal impact on schedules and goals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with computer keyboards.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
