Summary:
- Supports the design, certification, and sustainment of commercial aircraft, applying advanced reliability and maintainability engineering principles to optimize performance, lifecycle economics, and compliance with safety and airworthiness requirements.
- Conduct modeling, simulation, and data analytics, including statistical/probabilistic analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support technical performance measures (TPMs) such as schedule reliability, operational availability, and maintenance costs.
- Perform failure mode analysis, reliability testing, and certification assessments.
- Utilize digital maintainability tools, including virtual and augmented reality.
- Engage with suppliers, business partners, airline customers, and internal teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET accreditation preferred).
- 8 years of engineering experience.
- 5 years of Reliability Engineering experience in commercial aviation.
- Expertise in Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) for aircraft certification.
- Proficiency in FTA tools (e.g., CAFTA, ReliaSoft, FaultTree ).
- Experience with airplane systems design (e.g., Propulsion, Avionics, Electrical, Flight Controls).
- Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen, Green Card holder, Refugee, or Asylee) per export control regulations.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools.
- Strong background in project planning and execution.
- Technical leadership experience.
