The Studio on Pope’s Island (SPI) in New Bedford, MA is seeking Pilates, yoga and fitness Instructors for various classes! Training may be available to qualified candidates who are trained in similar fitness methods.
We need teachers who can lead Mat Classes, Jump Class using the JumpBoard and Group Reformer classes using reformers and additional in-studio apparatus.

About us
The Studio on Pope’s Island (SPI) was founded in 2020 and offers the Pilates method to the Southeast in an approachable and effective way. SPI has been steadily growing since opening and to keep up we are expanding our faculty and staff. We strive to meet our clients where they are in their lives and show them that their goals are within their reach in an enjoyable way! We offer private and duet sessions, group classes and we are adding new classes.
Responsibilities
- Provide Pilates, yoga or fitness sessions or classes that demonstrate the integrity and values of SPI
- Teach clients using proper form and safety methods on a variety of equipment including Reformer, Tower Reformer, Springboard, Wunda-Chair, hand weights and more while ensuring a safe, effective and enjoyable experience.
- Be able to handle multiple clients at once: Up to 12 clients per Mat class, 5 for Group Reformer Classes
- Maintain client accounts including attendance and enrollment on Studio scheduling software
- Promote The Studio on Pope's Island on social media and other engagement
Hours
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday: 4pm-8pm.
Saturday - Sunday: 10am-6pm.

Compensation and Benefits
This is a W2- employee position. Compensation begins at $20-$30/hr, but may increase to reflect the experience and performance of the instructor.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 3 per week
