About the Role:
We have an exciting opportunity to support our Restaurant Technology team as a Sr. Product Manager - Franchise Products based in Shelton, CT or Miami, FL. The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that streamline business operations for thousands of Subway franchisees across the globe. The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for on-schedule and on-budget delivery of key initiatives as well as ensuring reliability of existing platforms globally. The Sr. Product Manager will be focused on people, process and tools to improve the performance of the teams. The leader should have right balance of technology, product management, program management and leadership skills. The Sr. Product Manager will be leading a team of Technical Leads, Product Owners, Developers, Scrum Masters and Testers consisting of employees, as well as, vendor partners. The Sr. Product Manager should have prior experience in negotiating and managing vendor contracts. The Sr. Product Manager should operate with a sense of urgency in highly complex and changing environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Technology Strategy: Develop a technology strategy and ensure technology solutions comply with applicable standards. Ensure Subway's payment products and services are best in class, secure, highly available, resilient and frictionless
Technology Delivery: Accountable for on-schedule, on-budget delivery of technology initiatives payments team is involved in. Manage risks, escalations and support activities to ensure up-time and performance SLAs.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and continue to build a highly talented and highly technical team of developers, product owners and managers. Lead by example, care for your team, and establish credibility with the quality of you and your team's technical execution.
Stakeholder Management: Work closely with business partners to identify business needs. Set realistic expectations with the partners on project timeline, budgets and risks by working with PMs and teams.
Performance Management: Facilitates performance and career development of individuals through performance reviews, coaching, and building individual development plans that are needed to develop competencies and skills.
Vendor Management: Effectively Manage a global team of employees and offshore contractors, establishing the right balance for high value & low cost. Manage 3rd party vendor partners.
Operational Excellence: Advocate and advance modern, Agile solution delivery practices and evangelizes great design, engineering, and organizational practice. Define and continuously refine 'Ways of Working'.
Business of IT: Manage budgets efficiently. Submit monthly forecasts. Ensure compliance with PMO governance practices.
Contract Management: Assess vendors to meet Subway goals. Negotiate and manage contracts. Collaborate with vendors to meet technology goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or related field required.
Agile certifications, PMP or equivalent preferred.
Familiarity with Azure, AWS or .net preferred
5-8 years' experience job specific experience
Technology/Product Management prior experience in QSR industry preferred.
3-5 years team leadership experience.
Experience in budget management, annual planning and contract negotiations/management is a must.
Excellent Leadership and Change Management skills to drive operational excellence across the team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and inter-personal skills. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with people at all levels of the organization.
Excellent analytical skills. Ability to identify patterns and trends in data.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
Desire to innovate, ability to multitask, sense of ownership and urgency.
