What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Support Technician position at The Summit Center?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be able to consistently and successfully perform all essential functions of the position.
- Responsible for development, support, and maintenance of EHR and other business-related applications.
- Develop and maintain data reporting and visualization tools including but not limited to SSRS and Power BI.
- Collaborating with other Summit teams, decision makers, system owners, and end users to define IT and business requirements and system goals, as well as identifying and resolving system issues.
- Serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for key organizational IT systems, providing consultation and guidance to business units and the IT department on the effective use of these systems.
- Keeping up to date with emerging IT technologies and recommending how they can be leveraged to meet strategic objectives.
- Reviewing and analyzing the effectiveness of current IT systems and developing strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
- Assisting in the planning, design, deployment, and post-implementation support of new and enhanced IT systems.
- Preparing and delivering IT system-related reports across the organization.
- Developing and maintaining IT system documentation, including user guides, technical specifications, and best practices.
- Reliable transportation to travel between multiple sites in Western New York.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of position skill and/or ability required.
- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, or management information systems or 5 years related work experience.
- Essential Skills:
- 1 years developing and supporting EHR systems
- 1-3 years of experience writing complex SQL Queries for reporting purposes
- 1 years MS SQL Server and SSRS
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: MS SQL Server/Azure certifications preferred
