JOB LOCATION: Element Eatery
Job Summary
The Host/Hostess is responsible for ensuring the prompt recognition of all guests and for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to guests throughout their dining experience. The Host/Hostess should be able to assist guests with questions about the food hall and the campus.
THIS POSITION MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR 2ND SHIFT (5PM-CLOSE).
Job Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School diploma and/or experience in hospitality or a related field preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
- Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to stand during entire shift.
General Requirements
- Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of associates and customers in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by associates and customers.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
- Approach all encounters with associates and customers in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
- Attend all required meetings and trainings.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with AT Hospitality Standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the property.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
- Comply with regulations to encourage safe and efficient property operations.
- Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas, and assist in implementing solutions.
- Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
- Must be able to cross-train in other property related areas.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating customer or operational needs.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
- Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.

Fundamental Requirements
- Greeting guests with a smile as they enter, and providing the highest level of customer service possible.
- Answering any initial questions.
- Organizing to-go orders & ensuring they are given out to the correct guest.
- Must be able to engage with guests.
- Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
- Knowledge of all food vendors in the building.
- Helping out with other positions in the facility as needed.
- Providing great customer service.
- Following a detailed checklist adhering to company protocols and standards.
- Help to maintain the cleanliness of the building.
