Sunrock is seeking a safety-focused, reliable, and self-motivated Plant Utility Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks within a quarry maintaining overall plant cleanliness and upkeep of the plant. Key responsibilities include greasing and lubricating plant equipment, ensuring plant cleanliness, operating machinery, and assist with routine maintenance on both the plant and its equipment.
The Plant Utility Person should be available to work normal business hours from 6:30am - 6:30pm, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed. The incumbent must be highly motivated, able to complete tasks without direct supervision, and have the ability to communicate issues to their supervisor. Good judgment and common sense is required in all duties and any other tasks as assigned and directed by the Supervisor of Aggregates.
Adhere to all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report any unsafe conditions or actions to a Supervisor or the Manager of Safety & Health.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with Sunrock, MSHA 30 CFR 56.20003, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.22 requirements.
Operate and perform routine maintenance on quarry plant equipment.
Carry out basic labor tasks including cleaning, lifting, shoveling, and climbing heights of up to 70 feet.
Demonstrate familiarity with quarry equipment and plant operations.
Accurately complete daily production reports, meet production schedules, and assist with other quarry areas as needed.
Ensure the cleanliness of the plant on a daily basis.
Perform pre-shift inspections of the work area.
Conduct post-shift inspections of plant equipment.
Maintain overall cleanliness throughout the plant.
Grease plant equipment as required.
Visually inspect plant equipment during operations.
Assist with daily plant adjustments as necessary.
Support daily maintenance tasks as required.
Participate in proactive team efforts to meet departmental and company goals.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
