Position: BIM Modeler Intern
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Salary Range: $19 - $22 per hour
The Superior Group is looking for highly motivated and energetic students to participate in the TSG internship program during the Summer 2025 term (May - August). When you join TSG, you join a national leader in electrical design and construction. In addition to your day-to-day responsibilities, we provide our interns with lunch-and-learns, leadership training, career prep, unique jobsite visits, and beyond.
Under the guidance of our Building Information Modeling and Virtual Design Construction team, you’ll work alongside our BIM Modelers gaining exposure to 3D models, BIM software programs, and so much more. We also host in-house workshops to help you develop workplace and estimating-specific skills.
Key Responsibilities
Required: You must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.

Key Responsibilities
- Help prepare 3D models of electrical building systems in Revit
- Prepare 3D Navisworks models used for BIM coordination
- Help run clash detection reports, resolve clashes, and participate in the BIM coordination process
- Help support with installation and prefabrication drawings
- Help build Revit families, prefab assemblies, and contribute to BIM standards
- Learn established standards for modeling and production of drawings
- Strive to continuously develop your skills in our core applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
- You’re organized, great at prioritization, and have a strong attention to detail
- Have a thorough understanding of computer systems and applications
