POSITION SUMMARY
Douron’s summer internship program is designed to mutually benefit those seeking experience and the company seeking additional help during its busy season. Interns may be placed in varying departments depending on a combination of business needs and the intern’s desired area of experience. The employment is seasonal and includes predetermined start and end dates.
POSITION EXPECTATIONS
- Works assigned shifts consistently and punctually
- Receives tasks from assigned supervisor and performs them to best of ability
- Proactively asks questions and demonstrates an eagerness to learn
- Manages own task flow with guidance from supervisor to ensure efficient and timely completion of all assigned tasks
- Performs administrative and clerical functions, including scheduling, communications, and research as assigned
- Compiles and manages project documentation and digitally files; maintains an orderly filing system as assigned
- Assists with scheduling and communication functions as assigned
- Attends and supports setup and breakdown of events when invited to do so
- Maintains excellent relations and regular communication with supervisor, department team, and other internal departments
- Delivers professional customer service to clients, vendors, and other external parties
- Supports smooth operations for the company by providing administrative support as needed
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education, Certifications and /or Licenses:
- Some high school education preferred
Experience:
- Some prior work experience a plus
Knowledge/Skills:
- Proficiency with PCs and basic computer software, including MS Office Suite
- Proficiency with basic business math skills preferred
- Excellent presentation, listening, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team; willingness to roll up sleeves and help the team
- Ability to manage and organize time to meet objectives and deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be required to do the following:
- Perform activities such as balance, bend/stoop, crouch, kneel, push/pull, reach, or squat
- Move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments
- Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another
- Adjust or move objects up to 25 pounds in any direction
- Communicate with others to exchange information
- Repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands, or fingers
- Assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
This position primarily works in an indoor office or warehouse environment. The noise level in the office is usually low to moderate, and is a temperature-controlled environment. The warehouse is not temperature-controlled and can be noisy.
COMPENSATION
- Wage range: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour, paid on a biweekly basis
- This is a non-benefited position.
