Join us at the Surf Hotel & Chateau as we seek two dedicated Seasonal Front Desk Agents to enhance guest experiences from now until October.
Front Desk Agent Responsibilities:
- Prioritize guest satisfaction by providing exceptional service and exceeding expectations.
- Act as a representative of the South Main community, embodying its spirit and values.
- Safeguard confidential guest data with the utmost integrity.
- Respond promptly and professionally to all forms of communication, including phone calls, emails, and texts.
- Maintain the Lobby, including restrooms, fireplace, cooler, coffee station, and workstation throughout the day.
- Manage reservations across various platforms, catering to hotel leisure travelers, groups, corporate clients, and vacation rentals.
- Experience with Stayntouch PMS is advantageous.
- Ensure accuracy in processing payments.
- Demonstrate proficiency in recognizing and accommodating various room types and vacation rental properties.
- Collaborate with Housekeeping and Maintenance teams to ensure cleanliness, resolve issues, and maintain operational efficiency.
- Generate and follow through on daily Front Desk reports, including room deliveries and special services.
- Promptly address guest requests and issues, providing solutions such as troubleshooting TVs or supplying additional amenities.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
- Provide assistance in other departments when required.
Front Desk Agent Requirements:
- Possession of reliable transportation.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required.
- Comfortable adapting to new technologies.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods.
- Effective communication skills amidst varying levels of background noise.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain performance standards.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Proficiency in multitasking, prioritization, and time management.
Compensation:
- $18.00 - $20.00 per hour depending on experience.
