Certified Surgical Technologist - PRN Experience is preferred, but we're willing to hire and orientate new graduates and newly certified surgical technologists. The Surgery Center of Cleveland is looking to add new Certified Surgical Techs to our team. Our center is dedicated to providing high quality outpatient surgical care in a convenient and comfortable setting. The Certified Surgical Technician performs technical responsibilities relative to assisting physicians with the instrumentation of surgical intervention in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Monitors PAR levels of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes all surgical instruments. Participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities. Works under the direction and supervision of physician or registered nurse. Responsibilities : Performs scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedure. Directly assists operating physician with surgical tasks including hemostasis, suturing and wound exposure as well as patient positioning. Prepares operating rooms and surgical instruments and equipment for use. Knowledge of instruments and surgical techniques; instrument and needle counts; isolation techniques and terminal cleaning of surgical instruments and rooms. Demonstrates knowledge of specific technical surgical skills.
