HEALTHCARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Business Office Manager to oversee daily business operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong human resources skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a knack for supervising staff. This role is crucial in maintaining an efficient office atmosphere that supports our team and enhances productivity.
Duties
- Manage daily office operations, including overseeing administrative staff and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Supervise and support office clerks in their tasks, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical, ensuring all documents are organized and easily accessible.
- Handle phone systems with professionalism, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when interacting with clients and vendors.
- Coordinate calendar management for team members, scheduling meetings and appointments effectively.
- Assist with human resources functions such as onboarding new employees and maintaining employee records.
- Develop and implement office policies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor office supplies inventory and place orders as necessary to ensure the office is well-stocked.
Requirements
- Proven experience in office management or a related field.
- Strong healthcare knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficient in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
- Strong supervisory skills with experience managing a team or clerical staff.
- Familiarity with file management systems and phone systems is essential.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
- Possess basic knowledge of medical terminology and basic knowledge of business office functions.
- Versatile and has ability to coordinate with and participate in, when necessary and educate, all aspects of the Business Office functions.
- Ability to set priorities and work independently.
- Ability to communicate and interact in a positive manner with patients, families, Physicians, co-workers, supervisor and other facility employees.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to enter data into computer, files large amounts of paper, and use office equipment.
