Fine Dining Server - Part-Time

Duties and Responsibilities:

• You should be an expert on the menu, drink selections, and specials offered. You should also know the ingredients and available substitutions for all dishes and beverages.
• Professional appearance required.
• Deliver food and beverages in the proper order and requested by the customer. Proficient at using the POS system to enter order requests for the kitchen or bar to prepare for dine-in or takeout.
• Tent to all the customer's needs and offer suggestions that enhance the dining experience.
• Have a positive attitude and be a team player, helping out as need.
• Monitor and maintain clean workspace and facility
• Perform side jobs like folding silverware, sweeping, etc.
• Communicate with team members about updates, details that allow smooth workflow.
• Promote upcoming specials or events.
• Display professional behavior.

Qualifications for Servers:

• Must Be 18 or Older: Due to alcohol service regulations.
• Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage with guests warmly and professionally, ensuring an excellent dining experience.
• Assertive Communication: Effectively communicate with guests, kitchen staff, and other team members.
• Menu Knowledge: Familiarity with food and drink offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays or plates for extended periods during shifts.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy when taking orders, serving food, and processing payments.
• Team Player: Willingness to assist colleagues and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is a plus but not required.

Summary:

As a Server at The Sweet Spot, you'll be the face of our restaurant, delivering exceptional service and enhancing the guest experience. You'll be expected to have expert knowledge of our menu, drink selections, and specials, including ingredients and available substitutions. A professional appearance and attitude are essential to maintain a high standard of service.

Key responsibilities include accurately and promptly delivering food and beverages, assisting guests with menu suggestions, and efficiently using the POS system for dine-in and takeout orders. You'll also tend to customer needs, monitor cleanliness, and collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
