What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Co-Teacher for 2 year old classroom position at The Sweetgrass School?
Duties:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and curriculum
- Provide support and guidance to students in various activities, including fine motor, sensory, music and movement, story time, etc.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Monitor and supervise students during activities and playtime
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to assess student progress and provide feedback to parents
- Assist with classroom management and behavior management strategies
- Help with daily tasks such as mealtime, naptime, and diaper changes
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a daycare or educational setting is preferred
- Knowledge of child welfare and development principles
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
