What are the responsibilities and job description for the Skilled Helpers – Columbus, MS – Fab Shop position at The Systems Group?
Location: Columbus, MS
Hours: 48 Hours/ Week
The Systems Group is looking for an energetic individual to be our next Skilled Helper. We are looking for someone to help with the day-to-day issues that pop up but to also be part of the big picture and contribute to the long-term strategy of our operations across the country. Skilled Helper Job Responsibilities:
- Clean work area
- Restock supplies and materials
- Assist with lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and workpieces
- Disassemble and remove damaged materials from the work area
- Assist journeyman employees with task-related wot pipefitting or welding
- Use power tools when applicable

Experience and Requirements:
- Previous skilled helper experience in an industrial setting is preferred
- OSHA Approved Met-Guard boots (annual company allowance provided)
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
