Server/Waiter

A restaurant waitress, or server, is responsible for greeting customers, taking orders, serving food and beverages, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a positive dining experience. They also handle payments and maintain a clean and organized dining area.

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers warmly and seat them.
• Present menus and answer questions about dishes and drinks.
• Offer recommendations and suggest specials.
• Anticipate customer needs and provide attentive service.
• Handle complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Order Taking and Service:
• Accurately take and relay food and beverage orders to the kitchen and bar.
• Ensure orders are delivered promptly and accurately.
• Serve food and beverages to customers.
• Check on customers during their meal to ensure satisfaction.
• Table Management:
• Set tables with appropriate linens, silverware, and glassware.
• Clear used dishes and drinks promptly.
• Maintain a clean and tidy dining area.
• Payment Handling:
• Present checks and process payments.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
• Ensure accurate billing and reconciliation of sales.
• Other Duties:
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Restock supplies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and other team members.
• Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations.
