What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapy Assistant position at The Talcott Center for Child Development?
The Talcott Center for Child Development in Farmington has an immediate opening for a Physical Therapy Assistant within our quickly growing Comprehensive Autism Program. The Talcott Center is a privately owned pediatric therapy clinic that offers Occupational therapy, Physical therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), as well as Social Skills Groups to children ages birth-21 with varying needs. In addition to individual services, we offer a Comprehensive Autism Day Program that takes a multidisciplinary approach to treating each child. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic PTA who is looking to provide group-based intervention in collaboration with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team of PT's, OT's, SLP's, and BCBA's.
Duties:
Implement individualized treatment plan under the supervision of a PT
Maintain respect and confidentiality for all clients
Daily documentation of PT sessions
Developing and implementing group based treatment
Collaboration with the child's team
Prepare program materials
Review and implement consultation/supervision note recommendations
Communicate appropriately and effectively with colleagues and families
Preferred Requirements:
Applicants must have a Connecticut PTA license
Previous experience: 1 year or Early Childhood Experience
Education: Associates PTA certified within CT and through Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
