#1823 Quality Documentation Technician Job Description
The Quality Documentation Technician must be a self-starter and willing to work under minimal supervision. This role will be transferring inspection information from blueprints to a formal document. This position is strictly clerical in nature and will involve documentation and blueprint reading ballooning.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision is key. Candidates will be evaluated based on accuracy and efficiency to perform the job.
- Provide effective, timely, and consistent documentation into our AS9100 FAI System.
- Accuracy is key, candidate will be transferring inspection data from a blueprint and CMM report to AS9100 form.
- Candidate may be tasked with ballooning prints for FAI inspection.
- Transfer information from handwritten documents into a computer system.
- Mark up blueprints with balloon numbers to identity and reference specific features or dimensions.
- Ensure that all critical dimensions and features are clearly identified and documented.
- Additional job duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year(s) experience.
- Hands on experience with blueprint reading and ballooning in a professional setting.
- DSQR is preferred. Must test ASAP to obtain this certification.
- Strong Knowledge in GD&T.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Knowledge of ballooning techniques and tools.
- good communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional time management abilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
