Our client is seeking a Sales Director to drive business development for advanced metals production, processing, and engineering solutions. This role focuses on securing new customers for custom metallic alloys, material development projects, and advanced manufacturing processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market share through strategic acquisition of new contracts, partnerships, and engineering engagements.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and secure new sales opportunities in custom metal alloys (including rods, wire, powder, and other feedstocks).
- Drive acquisition of both government and commercial contracts related to material development and advanced manufacturing processes.
- Lead the proposal and quoting process, ensuring accurate cost estimates and competitive pricing.
- Support budgeting and revenue growth, ensuring financial targets are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, materials science, or related disciplines.
- Proven track record in sales of custom metal alloys, including castings, extrusions, wire drawing, or powder processing.
- Experience selling engineering services and development projects is a strong advantage.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to engage both internal teams and external partners.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling for sales projections.
- 15 years of experience preferred.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and within a team.
