# Salesforce Release Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Salesforce Release Manager with deep expertise in Copado to manage release processes and maintain environment integrity across a multi-org Salesforce setup. The ideal candidate will bring 5 10 years of release management experience and a history of coordinating complex, parallel deployments. This role involves close collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless code delivery, stable environments, and compliance with release governance standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of release specialists to execute deployment tasks effectively.
- Oversee the full release management lifecycle for Salesforce, coordinating deployments across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
- Drive release planning, communication, and scheduling to align with business objectives.
- Maintain multiple Salesforce environments, ensuring accurate configuration and synchronization.
- Leverage Copado for version control, CI/CD, and governance of change management activities.
- Work with cross-functional teams to implement efficient continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Troubleshoot release-related issues to reduce deployment risk and downtime.
- Support adherence to platform governance, compliance standards, and data integrity best practices.
- Manage a centralized release calendar, outlining key milestones, deployment windows, and sandbox refresh schedules.
- Provide consistent updates to stakeholders regarding release timelines, risks, and status.
- Automate and enhance deployment workflows using Copado and supplementary DevOps tools.
- Continuously refine and scale the release management framework to drive process improvements and deployment reliability.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Hands-on experience with Copado for release automation and deployment governance.
- Strong grasp of the Salesforce platform architecture and its development lifecycle.
- Proficient in CI/CD tooling (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket) with integration into Salesforce pipelines.
- Familiar with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and OmniStudio.
- Proven ability to manage multi-environment releases in a dynamic, high-volume setting.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on minimizing release impact.
Required Experience:
- 5 10 years in release and environment management, including 3 years specializing in Salesforce using Copado.
- Experience with DevOps practices and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Exposure to complex Salesforce projects involving large-scale data migration and environment refreshes.
- Demonstrated proficiency deploying managed packages and metadata using Copado pipelines.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- Salesforce and/or Copado certifications are a plus (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I, Copado Admin/Developer).
Required Skills:
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
