Principal Cloud Engineer – Remote Contract Opportunity

Are you a passionate, innovative, and strategic cloud engineer ready to lead the creation of advanced cloud platforms? This Principal Cloud Engineer role is your chance to make an impact by implementing cutting-edge solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) , Kubernetes , and Zero Trust architecture . You'll apply Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to design resilient and scalable platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize performance and enhance system architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and Deploy : Design and manage cloud solutions leveraging IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- CloudOps Leadership : Oversee the full lifecycle of cloud platform engineering, including architecture, hands-on implementation, documentation, and support.
- Cloud Expertise : Optimize performance, cost, and security across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Integrate & Automate : Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into CI / CD pipelines , using Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Audit & Improve : Conduct regular audits of cloud environments, using tools like Splunk, Prometheus, or Grafana, to enhance compliance and performance.
- Mentor & Guide : Provide technical guidance to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and automation-first thinking.
- Stay Ahead of Trends : Evaluate and implement emerging cloud technologies to drive innovation and improve capabilities.
- Incident Resolution : Lead troubleshooting efforts for cloud infrastructure issues, showcasing exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Stakeholder Communication : Translate technical concepts into clear solutions for stakeholders at all levels.
