Pediatric ICU Nurse (RN) - Critical Care Float Pool
Annual Salary : Estimated Pay Per Hour : $73
Location : San Diego, CA
Job Type : Travel, 13-week contract
Join the esteemed team in San Diego as a Pediatric ICU Nurse within the Critical Care Float Pool. This role is essential for providing high-level care to critically ill or injured children across various units, including the emergency department. The position demands an RN with extensive experience in pediatric intensive care and the flexibility to adapt to different critical care environments.
Day-to-day of the role :
Work shifts include Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) and Day 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 00).
Provide critical care to pediatric patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, shock, multi-system failure, and post-operative care.
Utilize advanced skills in managing ventilators, tracheostomies, and multiple monitoring systems including CVP and EKG.
Float across different units as needed, prioritizing high-acuity care and adapting quickly to the needs of each unit.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Minimum of 2 years of full, recent experience in Pediatric ICU, CTICU, or a critical care float pool, with experience in units of at least 15 beds.
Required certifications : BLS, PALS.
Must have an active CA RN license.
Strong clinical skills with the ability to manage high-acuity patients effectively.
Ability to work variable shifts, including significant weekend and holiday coverage.
Benefits :
Competitive hourly rate of $73.
Travel package includes an hourly rate of $23, weekly stipend of $1995.31 ($602 for meals and $1393 for lodging), resulting in a gross weekly pay of $2823.
