Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Counselor, Fully licensed on months away, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, Psych. D, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing outpatient services, particularly in pediatrics, and will be committed to delivering high-quality care to our clients. This role involves working with individuals and groups to assess their needs, develop treatment plans, and facilitate therapeutic interventions in a supportive environment. The clinician will work with people of all ages from age 4-104 with a variety of disorders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify behavioral health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as motivational interviewing.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress using ICD-10 coding standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
- At times Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote counseling services when necessary.
- Stay current with best practices in behavioral health counseling through ongoing professional development.
- Attend staffing for case consultation and office policies
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Fully credentialed, Valid licensure as a counselor or therapist in the state of Texas.
- Experience in outpatient settings, particularly with pediatric populations.
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques and therapeutic modalities.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding for mental health diagnoses.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.
