A healthcare services organization in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their Infectious Disease team at one of their facilities in Bergen County.
Responsibilities:
The Infectious Disease NP will be responsible for:
- Diagnosing infectious diseases by evaluating a patient's medical history, conducting physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests, such as blood work or imaging
- Prescribing antibiotics, antiviral medications, or other appropriate treatments for infectious diseases
- Educating patients about the nature of their infectious disease, how it is transmitted, and how to prevent its spread
- Administering vaccines to prevent certain infectious diseases and offer counseling on immunization schedules and strategies
- Following and promoting infection control protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases within the facility
- Providing ongoing care for patients with chronic or recurrent infectious diseases
- Monitoring progress, adjusting treatment plans, and ensuring that patients are recovering as expected
- Performing other duties, as needed
- Bachelor's Degree (Open to new graduates!)
- NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Familiarity and/or interest in Infectious Disease
Salary : $100,000 - $115,000
