What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finished Painter position at The Taylor Group?
Through Taylor Logistics, our vertical integration process allows us to oversee and manage different aspects of production, from raw materials to manufacturing and assembly of parts and components and transporting those components and inventory to the production lines ready for manufacturing the whole product. Job Responsibilities:
- Perform duties to determine the proper type of prep work needed to provide the proper finishes.
- Mix paints, thinners, and hardeners to provide the proper sheen and hardness for applied coating.
- Apply coatings and finishes to obtain proper adhesion, color, and gloss.
- Incumbent will be painting large equipment, not small parts. Previous experience in industrial painting would be a plus.
- Perform the necessary clean-up functions.
- Maintain finishing area and materials in such a manner that all conditions of EPA, OSHA and Hazardous Waste Disposal regulations are followed and maintained.
- Keep track of EPA regulation and guidelines.
- Handles proper disposal of materials.

- High school graduate of GED equivalent.
- Must pass pulmonary function test.
- Three to Five Years Previous experience.
- Must work well with others and possess good people skills.
- Job requires stooping, bending, climbing, and capability of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions.
- Skills to perform mechanical assembly jobs using small hand tools.
- Previous experience in industrial painting would be a plus.
- Must pass test to operate fork-lift.
