Job Description: The Production Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of their department, coordinating with other supervision, and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. This position will report to the Production Manager who oversees all plant manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and oversee all production orders in his/her department. Identifies and resolves any production concerns or variation from standard.
- Ensures the continuing training of all personnel in safety, environmental, and 5S.
- Collaborate with Production Manager to evaluate effectiveness of the department and recommend improvement as needed.
- Coordinate with quality to maintain measures which ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction.
- Considers material flow and utilization. Studies material use, storage practices and material handling procedures.
- Utilize ERP systems and software tools for data management, reporting, and decision-making while suggesting improvements when necessary.
- Monitor and analyze performance such as production rates, on-time delivery, efficiency, and cost control.
- Verifies weekly timecards of shift employees. Reports on attendance, time and efficiency results to ensure accuracy of output per shift.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years? experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Experience in 5S and Lean Manufacturing a plus.
- Must be able to read and interpret detailed blueprints.
- Experience in managing people, with demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
