Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
- Documentation of equipment, tracking, scanning, and storing documents in SharePoint.
- Perform test drives, and function testing/ operating equipment.
- Performs inspections in each area of production. Will inspect the completed work of each Mechanic on the floor.
- Assist fellow coworkers with assembly when needed.
- Reads prints, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products.
- Recommends improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
- Documents inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Teaches the production team about quality control concerns to improve product excellence.
- Assist Production with quality concerns.
- Assist with production and storage care of equipment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Certification in quality control is preferred.
- Experience working in a team lead environment.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word).
- Good math and technical skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and standards
- Strong understanding of document control
- Mechanical work experience preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of mechanic’s tools and precision measurement.
- Experience with Heavy Machinery/ Cranes is preferred (Operator/ Repair).
- Should be able to understand prints and perform part inspections according to those prints.
- Will need to be a reliable self-starter.
