What are the responsibilities and job description for the TCE Prep Painter / Pressure Washer position at The Taylor Group?

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides support services to painters.
- Preps surfaces of items that will not be painted using masking tape before the painting process begins.
- Uses sanding and buffing tools, steel wool, or wire brushes to smooth surfaces.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the work areas and the tools and equipment used in painting, making sure they are free from paint stains and debris.
- Performs duties to determine the proper type of prep work needed to provide the proper finishes.
- Applies coatings and finishes to obtain proper adhesion, color, and gloss.
- Performs the necessary clean-up functions.
- Maintains finishing area and materials in such a manner that all conditions of EPA, OSHA and Hazardous Waste Disposal regulations are followed and maintained.
- Handles proper disposal of materials.
- Cleans and prepares all incoming parts and components for re-manufacturing.
- Keeps the outside area of paint booth clean and orderly.
- Ensures adequate chemicals, paint, and sand blasting materials are in inventory to provide an uninterrupted supply of parts and components for re-manufacturing.
- Steam cleans machines and parts as required.
- As time permits and as directed, performs duties as advised by Manager.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Must pass pulmonary function test.
- The job requires stooping, bending, climbing, and the capability of lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions.
- Must be able to operate a Forklift.
Education and Experience
- High school graduate of GED equivalent.
