What are the responsibilities and job description for the Prep Cook position at The Tea Cart?
As a Prep Cook, you will be working directly under the Kitchen Manager and mainly responsible for assisting in food prep. Restaurant experience not required, but hard work and commitment is expected. This is a part-time position.
Responsibilities
- Follow recipes and prepare simple dishes
- Food prep including sandwiches, desserts and other specialty dishes
- Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking
- Weigh and measure ingredients
- Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
- Basic cooking functions
- Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
- Wash utensils and dishes and make sure they are put away properly
Qualifications
- Ability to communicate and listen to team members
- Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
- Experience as a Prep Cook a plus
