GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Manufacturing painters are responsible to applying paints and coatings according to provided instructions, procedures, and specifications to a variety of materials and surfaces. Painters are responsible for delivering quality parts compliant with all requirements and reporting issues and needs clearly.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Paint Department
Read and interpret travelers, prints, and instructions on color, gloss, texture, and masking.
Prepare paint and coatings and use equipment to implement proper mix ratios.
Track and place orders for material in response to inventory levels.
Control material costs by maximizing efficiency and material usage.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
Quality Assurance
Inspect parts prior to processing and report defects accordingly.
Monitor parts throughout the paint process to ensure delivery of quality parts.
Adhere to regulatory, safety, customer, and internal guidelines for material handling.
Maintain clean, orderly, and organized work area.

Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience with HVLP painting and auto body work is preferred
- Knowledge of paint formulation or color matching systems are preferred
- Prior knowledge or experience is not a direct requirement, training will be provided as needed
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lift over 50 pounds and lifting above the shoulders, hand and arm motion, and kneeling and stooping frequently
- Ability to work in environment which consists of exposure to fumes and chemicals as well as moderate noise
- Visual acuity and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation
