What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing AI Data Scientist position at The Technology Recruitment Group?

Our client, is a multinational automotive manufacturer. As a Manufacturing AI Data Scientist, you would work closely with the dynamic Manufacturing AI R&D team to improve and verify AI algorithms so that manufacturing AI for quality inspection, operational efficiency, and facility automation, which are areas of production plant intelligence, can be applied to the production site. This role is based in the Gyeonggi province, South Korea.

Responsibilities :

Development of new AI POC and core algorithms for manufacturing intelligence
Specify operational efficiency, quality inspection, and facility automation requirements required for production intelligence
Search for new AI technologies based on the latest papers and match field requirements
Perform scenario-based AI technology verification MVP (Minimum Viable Product)
Development of manufacturing AI core algorithm for production intelligence
Support for AI development algorithm performance improvement for manufacturing intelligence
To support AI algorithm performance improvement for facility malfunction detection through facility data analysis for production operation efficiency
To improve inspection accuracy, AI algorithm performance improvement for quality defect recognition
Collaborative development of manufacturing AI intelligence with overseas research centres
Analyse overseas R&D technologies and match collaboration tasks
Review collaboration plans with global AI technology companies
Benchmarking overseas intelligent plants

Requirements :

Significant experience in data science AND data engineering

Programming language proficient such as Python, R, etc

Large scale data processing experience based on Apache Spark or SQL

Experience developing AI services using AWS, Azure, and GCP

Individuals with Project Management Professional (PMP) and Scrum Master certificates

Preferred candidates have experience in a similar role

SQL proficiently different, experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark and Hive

Huggingface Library and API experience (Top Ranking Winners)

Experience in developing intelligent models using machine learning libraries such as XGBoost, LightGBM, etc.

Implement and apply your own ML model to experience business impact / improve business service performance

Fluent English is a must

Korean languages skills are an advantage but not a must

Willingness to be based in Korea is a must
