A Client Support Specialist supports the firm's Financial Advisory Team (Certified Financial Planners®) by providing assistance with a variety of tasks, so the advisors are more efficient and focused on business development and professional responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities :
- Client management, assisting clients with detailed account information and maintenance.
- Opening of Client accounts including Taxable accounts; Individual, etc. Tax Deferred accounts; IRA's, Beneficiary IRA's, SEP's, Defined Benefit Plans (DB), Solo 401ks Plans, SIMPLE IRA's, etc. Tax Exempt accounts; Roth IRA's.
- Account money transfers / funding accounts.
- Receiving checks and sending distributions to clients.
- Account follow up- via phones calls to clients, and vendors, and open communication with the financial advisor for any updates on client accounts.
- Portfolio Asset Allocation (PAA) includes regular, monthly, and special requests.
- Client service requests : setting up monthly account transfers for additional savings and preparing an auto-rebalance in the account for that cash receipt.
- Facilitating client requested Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD's).
- Monthly Cash Reports.
- Tax withholdings notices.
- Annual Tax filing forms (1099's).
- Account Model Portfolio Rebalance (AMPR) requests.
- Providing notes that serve as explanations behind a previous trade done by the financial advisor.
- Management of client performance reports.
- Maintenance and accurate reporting of cash reports.
- Other duties are assigned to assist on site Financial Advisors and general staff.
