Pay: $70,000K/yr
Our client is looking for an experienced tax specialist to work in their Tax Department. This position will be responsible for preparing business, individual, and trust income tax returns, along with acting as a tax knowledge expert to non-tax staff and clients.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Individual and Business Income tax returns – including multiple states
- Quarterly Business and individual tax planning
- Review Financial statements and documents and assess their relevance and adequacy prior preparing tax returns
- Provide Income tax services for businesses, individuals, trusts, estates and gift returns – including communicating with taxing authorities
Qualifications
- Current CPA/EA (Enrolled Agent) license or candidacy
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent
- Solid understanding of accounting principles including GAAP is a must
- 5 years tax preparation experience
- Knowledgeable and efficient with technology (Microsoft Office, Excel, PDF software, QuickBooks, and other accounting software, etc.) Experience with UltraTax is a plus
- Strong problem solving and issue resolution
- Comfortable working in a paperless environment
This position requires a high degree of accuracy, strong work ethic, excellent verbal and written skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. In addition to being able to solve tax and accounting problems, you should be able to communicate effectively and build relationships with clients and staff members.
