Key Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in employment-based immigration law, with a proven track record in:
- Assessing eligibility for U.S. visa status for corporate employees.
- Preparing and managing both nonimmigrant (H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, E-1/E-2, etc.) and immigrant (EB-1, EB-2, EB-3) visa petitions.
- Drafting complex and tailored RFE responses, PERM cases, and extraordinary ability petitions for a diverse client base across industries.
- Managing clients and time-sensitive caseloads independently, while working collaboratively within a team.
- Proactively communicating case progress to clients and supervisors, prioritizing assignments, and handling both short- and long-term tasks.
Candidates with prior experience in the following areas are highly desired:
- Immigration/work authorization compliance and due diligence review.
- Customized and comprehensive immigration case analysis.
- Client counseling, working with an immigration case management system, and tracking billable hours.
- Strong analytical skills, with impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active bar membership.
- 3 years of employment-based immigration experience.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Salary Range: $180K - $235K, based on experience.
- Bonuses: Additional compensation for exceeding billable hours expectations.
- Billable Hours Expectation: 1800 hours annually, with 150 hours applicable toward pro bono or DEI work.
