We are currently looking for a Director of School Programs for our client; a 167 year old social justice organization dedicated to a mission set on eliminating racism, empowering woken, and promoting peace, justice, and freedom and dignity for all. Job Summary: The Director School Programs is responsible for helping oversee the implementation of a minimum of two high-quality programs that support positive youth development aligned with the organization's mission. The Director will help support Program Directors (currently at six sites citywide) by providing professional development, coaching, and strategic oversight to ensure programs are effective and are in compliance with all licensing and funder requirements. This position will report directly to the Senior Director.Job Duties/Responsibilities:Develop and maintain relationships with school and community partnersRepresent the organization in coalitions, affinity groups, and other meetings and eventsOversee the partnership with subcontractors and managing invoicing and paymentsAssist the Senior Director with troubleshooting obstacles that Program Directors present around the day-to-day operations of afterschool and summer campSupport the Senior Director with program design, development, implementation, and assessment of all the programSupport the Senior Director in the development and implementation of afterschool and summer campSupport the Director to create Program Design Language for work scopesReview all program work scopes before they are submitted and ensure they are entered on timeOversee and develop comprehensive family engagement strategy including communication methods, parent workshops, and meetingsCreate and maintain yearly calendar of eventsSupport Directors in the program planning for 13 Holiday camp datesOversee the monthly report process ensuring reports are submitted on timeOversee and monitor ADA & ROP requirements for the programManage the portfolio of activity specialists with lesson planning and activity developmentDesign and oversee the delivery of professional development models and schedule for Program Directors, Assistant Directors and front-line staff including but not limited to onboarding, pre-service orientation, in-service training, coaching, peer mentoring, and shadowing opportunitiesWork with Program Directors and school partners to recruit, hire and train line staffEstablish partnerships with external vendors to provide professional development training to staffWith OST Director oversee and support the development and delivery of the Future Directors academyOther tasks and duties assigned by the the Senior Director as they pertain to the role and needs of the organizationRequirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Master’s degree, or equivalent experience preferred
- 7 years leading OST programs or other education/youth programs
- Deep knowledge of anti-racism and gender equity principles and practices
- Ability to balance extreme attention to detail with a visionary approach to leadership
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and analytical ability
- Strong computer skills; including using databases and developing presentations
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a bonus
- Strong work ethic and professional values
- Commitment to promoting the organization’s social justice mission and educational and youth development philosophy
