Job Title: Associate Instructor, Automotive Technology
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Oneida/Huntsville is seeking a full-time Automotive Technology Associate Instructor to be located at the Alvin C. York Agricultural Institute campus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement curriculum for the Automotive Technology program, including lesson plans and assessments.
- Teach and instruct students through lectures, demonstrations, and audio-visual aids.
- Evaluate student progress through tests and provide individualized feedback and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate student records and confidential information.
- Foster relationships with industry partners and participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current in the field.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree or Diploma in Automotive Technology from an accredited program.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related work experience.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to interact with high school students.
- Demonstrated teaching ability and commitment to staying current in the Automotive profession.
- ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Verbal and written communication skills, with ability to evaluate and monitor student progress.
- Interpersonal skills, with evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality.
- Planning and organization skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
