Job Title : Events Coordinator
Reports To : Executive Director
Position Summary : The Events Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and ensuring execution of special activities and events for The Therapy Place, including family support programs and fundraising initiatives. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and creativity to ensure the success of events that support the organization's mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities :
Event Planning and Execution
- Support & participate in event committees (fundraising, community events) to assist on event logistics, including venue selection, catering, entertainment, equipment rental, and volunteer support.
Fundraising Initiatives
Work closely with the development team to design and support fundraising events that engage donors, sponsors, and the community.Assist in securing sponsorships, in-kind donations, and partnerships to support event goals.Track fundraising event outcomes and prepare post-event reports to measure success and improve future efforts.Family Support Programs
Collaborate with program staff to design events that support families and clients, fostering community engagement and connection.Organize workshops, support groups, and recreational events tailored to the needs of families served by The Therapy Place.Track event success via surveys and attendance.Promotion and Outreach
Work with the marketing team to develop event promotional materials and campaigns, including social media, email, and print communications.Maintain and grow relationships with sponsors, vendors, and community partners.Act as a representative of The Therapy Place at events and in the community.Administrative Duties
Maintain detailed records of events, budgets, and attendee feedback.Assist in compliance efforts of events including securing permits, licenses, and following safety regulations for all events.Assist with managing event-related expenses and ensure alignment with the organizational budget.Provide reporting for budgets, attendees and more as needed for grant compliance.Qualifications and Skills :
Bachelor's degree in event planning, marketing, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Preferred 2 years of experience in event coordination, fundraising, or nonprofit programming.Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed for events.Proficiency in event / donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.A passion for the mission of The Therapy Place and a commitment to supporting families and the community.Compensation and Benefits :
