What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Development Project Manager position at The Thrasher Group North Carolina?
The Thrasher Group North Carolina is a multi-disciplinary firm growing through the Mid-Atlantic over the past 40 years. Our team is composed of professionals in civil engineering, landscape architecture, and field services with a passion for the work we do. Our Land Development team works on a large variety of projects for both public and private clients including commercial development, residential development, industrial development, public improvement projects, reclamation projects, and special projects focused on outdoor recreation and tourism. We are looking for an Project Manager to join our team to manage projects from concept to completion.
Essential duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare construction plans; perform or review calculations for design, grade lines, alignments, and drainage.
- Prepare plans for permitting and construction of land development projects which include design, layout, grading, drainage, and E & S controls.
- Prepare detailed project cost estimates.
- Work with construction inspection personnel, as required, and review daily field reports to assure that contracted work accomplishes the intent of the contract documents and roadway design.
- Coordinate and maintain all aspects of project management.
Qualifications:
- A BS from ABET accredited university in the field of Civil or Environmental Engineering
- A minimum of 4 years of experience is required.
- Possess the ability to mentor junior staff.
- PE Certification, or the ability to obtain, is highly desired.
- Knowledge of MicroStation with Inroads design software; GeoPak and Civil 3D experience is a plus.
