Electrical Designer

We are looking for an electrical designer with experience and enthusiasm to join our MEP team in Charleston, WV.  As a member of the team, you will drive profitability, work on a variety of projects, and collaborate with a team of like-minded professionals.  If you are someone that thrives in a fast-paced work environment and looks at tasks with a “can-do” attitude, then check out the job duties below. 

You responsibilities will include but are not limited to;

• Electrical technical design and quality control on assigned projects.
• Production of construction documents (drawings and specifications) for new buildings and for renovations and additions to existing facilities.
• Perform initial site investigations and observations of work done by the installing contractor(s) related to contracted projects. 
• Provide coordination of project designs with other disciplines. 
• Operate independently within a deadline driven industry. 

To be successful in this position, you will bring;

• A BS from ABET accredited school in the field of Electrical Engineering
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrical engineer
• FE/PE is preferred, but is not required.
• Knowledge and experience with commercial building design (including lighting and power layout, fire alarm, telephone, security,, CCTV, lighting protect, etc) is a plus.
• Experience using AutoCad and/or Revit.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
