Job Overview
The Tides Estate is seeking dedicated and hardworking kitchen staff to join our team. The ideal candidates will assist in food preparation, maintain cleanliness, and support the kitchen operations during banquets, weddings, and other special events.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to recipes and standards.
- Assist chefs with food preparation, cooking, and plating for events
- Set up and break down kitchen stations before and after events
- Assist in dishwashing and equipment cleaning as needed
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high food quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen areas, including workstations and storage spaces.
- Support cooks by performing tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes.
- Help with bussing tables and ensuring dining areas are clean and inviting for guests.
- Participate in banquet setups and breakdowns as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with their needs during meal service.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong interest in culinary arts, hospitality, or related fields.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced cooks and chefs.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and handling

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.49 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
