The ideal candidate will be responsible for upholding the resort's ambitious standards of cleanliness and appearance in all outdoor spaces, including landscapes, recreational areas, lawns, beaches, and pools. This role requires a strong work ethic and a passion for maintaining beautiful outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform lawn maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, and trimming to ensure well-kept lawns.
- Engage in gardening activities including weeding, watering, pruning, and planting of trees, flowers, and shrubs.
- Assist with the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems to promote healthy plant growth.
- Ensure all grounds, including landscaped areas and parking lots, are free of trash and debris.
- Conduct cleaning of pools and patios to maintain a pristine environment for guests.
- Support event setup and breakdown as needed, ensuring that all areas are prepared for guest activities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Basic knowledge of plants, flowers, shrubs, lawns, and safe pesticide use.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a pickup truck and utility carts.
- Proficiency in operating lawn maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, weed trimmers, shovels, and other hand tools.
- Ability to comprehend product labels, written plans, and verbal instructions effectively.
- Excellent people skills with the ability to engage with resort guests in a friendly and informative manner.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to collaborate with other department employees.
