Function :
The primary role of the Restaurant General Manager will be to supervise and manage the front of the house operations for the Salt & Meadow Restaurant.
Work Performed :
- Supervise the front of house restaurant operations to ensure compliance with resort’s objectives and the health and safety of our employees and guests.
- Train staff in standards, including Forbes, all menu items and overall food & beverage functions.
- Ensure all departmental work schedules follow staffing guidelines and that staffing levels are sufficient to provide excellent and memorable customer service
- Interact positively with guests while providing a high-quality dining experience.
- Promote the resort’s facilities and services.
- Manage guest feedback and resolve any issues.
- Organize any restaurant special events.
- Monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standards are met.
- Maintain positive employee morale and encourage team building.
- Maintain profitability of the restaurant to support the overall resort operation.
- Ensure par stock levels are maintained, order and retrieve supplies and stock.
- Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation.
- Create forecasts and revenue reports.
- Ensure maintenance of equipment and train staff on proper use.
- Manage special projects, run promotions, handle public relations, and marketing.
- Maintain and enforce food handling regulations and other guidelines.
