What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valet/Bellman position at The Tiger Hotel?
The Tiger Hotel is a full service luxury boutique hotel where the focus is to provide its guest with an upscale experience, through delivering outstanding guest services and amenities. This is accomplished through a team effort, beginning with the first interactions with guests by the valet/ bellhop.
As the valet/ bellhop, you will establish positive guest relationships through the consistent delivery of excellent customer service. More specifically, you will be responsible for parking and retrieving guest vehicles with high levels of effectiveness and efficiency. Valet drivers must possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment while observing safety precautions at all times. Your responsibilities will also include cleaning and maintaining equipment in the valet area to ensure a presentable and safe work environment. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Being the face of the hotel.
- Providing superior customer service to all guests.
- Greeting all guests with a smile.
- Retrieve and transport guest luggage
- Parking vehicles safely and retrieving vehicles for guests.
- Providing security of keys in a timely and orderly manner.
- Ensure the management team is kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests.
- Assist with room moves and special deliveries.
- Assist with providing local directions and recommendations on activities.
- Ensure a clean appearance of valet area.
- Others duties as may be assigned.
Key Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
- Must be able to operate a manual and automatic transmission.
- Possess the ability to follow instructions and to carry out tasks
- Exemplary customer service skills required
- Have no physical limitations preventing running, climbing stairs or lifting.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays
