- Set up and operate mechanical equipment including lathes, mills, saws, oven, blenders, grinders, polishing equipment, counting equipment, and hand tools.
- Run production, monitoring parts and equipment to ensure accurate high quality parts are made safely and as efficiently as possible.
- Complete required paperwork including but not limited to production batches, work orders, time sheets, mainte-nance log, and transfer sheets.
- Assemble parts according to specifications; follow prints or verbal directions to put together parts using hand and power tools and other assembly as necessary.
- Master all critical manufacturing operations: forklift driving, sawing, deburring, tumbling, dishwasher / washing and polishing.
- Skilled at using standard shop tools: arbor press, hammer, nails, ruler, tape measure, vise, weigh scale, assem-bly drawing, shop prints.
- Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure the proper dimensions and tolerance levels of finished parts.
- Follow safe machine shop practices and directions, asking questions as needed to do the assigned work.
- Contribute ideas to improve manufacturing processes.
- Inform shop lead of situations that may pose a significant risk to the products, facilities and employee safety or customer satisfaction.
- Ensures thorough housekeeping and organization of work areas.
- Wears required PPE and follows all company safety procedures, including safe lifting practices.
- Adheres to 5s organizational standards.
- At least 18 years old.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Production/manufacturing experienced required (1yr); Machine shop and CNC operation preferred.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical examination and background check.
- Must be able to lift 75lbs.
