Timken Distribution Center is currently seeking a 3rd Shift Machine Packaging Operator for its facility located in Duncan, SC. Monday-Friday 11pm-7am, plus overtime as required. A successful warehouse employee values safety, accuracy, productivity, and customer service.
Purpose and Scope
Use packaging machines to package cups, cones, and assemblies, up to 6 inches in diameter, into cartons of various sizes and styles imprinted with a wide variety of part numbers, bar codes, and other information required by the customer.
Compensation Details
Starting Hourly Pay Rate : $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- Gather necessary supplies and verify quality prior to use, including fitness of cartons / boxes to support product weight.
- Verify product quantity and inspect for correct part numbers or any visual defects prior to packaging. If errors are found, take appropriate action to restore accuracy.
- Stage product in feeding area, replenishing or hand-feeding as necessary. Consistent speed is critical to avoid product damage.
- Set up, change over and perform troubleshooting on all packaging equipment.
- Use technology such as computers or handheld RF Scanners to verify packaging requirements and perform systematic order processing functions.
- Remove packaged bearings from exit conveyor and perform final visual inspection of all components.
- Pack individual cartons, sleeves or tubes into shipping containers and use conveyor system to routeto next stage in shipping process.
- Communicate with other work areas in order to resolve problems that may arise.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties such as filling out standard forms and keeping work area clean and orderly.
